Elevate Motion: Where Charlotte Moves to Heal

Sheeka Gupta Builds a New Model for Patient-Centered Care

At Elevate Motion Therapy, physical therapy isn’t about checking boxes—it’s about meeting people where they are and helping them move forward with confidence.

Founded by Dr. Sheeka Gupta, a clinician with over 17 years of experience across acute care, pediatric settings, outpatient orthopedics, home health, and rehabilitation, Elevate offers something increasingly rare in the healthcare world: time, empathy, and truly individualized care. “Wherever you are in your movement journey, you don’t have to do it alone,” Gupta says. “We’re here to help you move forward with confidence.”

From Baby Steps to Back Pain: PT That Listens

From helping infants meet motor milestones to guiding adults through injury recovery and chronic pain management, Elevate Motion Therapy treats the full spectrum of patients—without rushing the process. “Progress looks different for everyone,” Gupta explains. “That’s why we take time to listen, educate, and partner with each person on a plan that works for them.”

The practice currently operates out of two Charlotte locations—8832 Blakeney Professional Dr #101 and 111 Smithfield Drive—and focuses on making therapy feel less clinical and more collaborative. Gupta’s own experience managing chronic low back pain is foundational to her approach: “I know what it feels like to be on the receiving end of care. Elevate is about creating a space where the whole person is seen, not just the diagnosis.”

From London to Charlotte: One Therapist’s Path to Empowerment

That perspective was shaped not just by clinical training, but by a life spent moving—geographically and emotionally. Born in London, raised in Tennessee, and now deeply rooted in Charlotte, Gupta brings an inclusive, culturally aware lens to her practice. She and her husband are raising two daughters in South Charlotte and remain actively involved in the community. “Family and connection are at the heart of everything I do—at home and at work,” she says.

Whether it’s guiding toddlers through their first purposeful steps, helping weekend warriors recover from injury, or supporting parents navigating their own wellness while raising kids, Elevate is about real-world progress. “I’m a big believer in balance,” Gupta says. “This practice is built not just around clinical results, but around care that fits into real lives.”

☕ When not writing or wrestling with metaphors, I’m sipping Einstein Bros. hazelnut coffee at the Ballantyne location (13736 Conlan Cir). Lately I’ve been hooked on their turkey sausage egg white sandwich and an everything bagel with honey almond shmear. If you see a woman typing furiously near the cream cheese station, say hi. Read why Einstein’s keeps us fueled.

With better posture (finally),
