Amanda Weisiger Cornelson Takes the Helm: Leading Charlotte’s Weisiger Group into a New Era

A New Leader for a Historic Company

Amanda Weisiger Cornelson is now president of Weisiger Group, stepping up from VP of Sales at Carolina Cat. She takes over from Ed Weisiger Jr., who led since 1991 and remains chairman. The company, a dealer for names like Caterpillar, oversees multiple industries from construction to material handling.

The business, started in 1926, remains in family hands, now led by a fourth generation. It’s celebrated as one of the Southeast’s largest woman-owned firms. Cornelson’s sisters, Marshall Weisiger Rodman and Grace Weisiger, share ownership.

Cornelson aimed to bolster her expertise across the firm’s sectors since joining in 2018, following her startup stint in retail and e-commerce. She’s backed by EVP and COO Matt Nazzaro, emphasizing a future of growth and adaptability for Weisiger Group.

Their tactical succession was set in motion two and a half years back, introducing a COO for a smoother transition. This structural shift coincides with strong business performance, with company revenues hitting $1 billion in 2023.

Weisiger Group operates across four states with over 2,300 employees. It clinched a top 10 spot on CBJ‘s list of Charlotte’s major private firms. As it steers into a new chapter, Ed Weisiger Jr. projects even bigger strides ahead under Amanda’s leadership.

Stay tuned to see how this storied company evolves with Amanda Weisiger Cornelson at the wheel! 🌟
