WBT Taps Ritchie for Prime-Time Conserva-Chatter

After nearly three decades of sharing the mic, TJ Ritchie is going full throttleâsolo.
The longtime Charlotte radio personality, best known as half of the former âAce & TJ Show,â is returning to the airwaves with his own nightly program on WBT, debuting May 27. The show, simply titled âThe TJ Ritchie Show,â promises what Ritchie calls âhigh energy, fun, and humorousâ takes on the intersection of politics and pop culture.
âThis is something Iâve always wanted to do,â Ritchie said in a press release. âAnd getting to do it on the legendary WBT is such a thrill.â
The new show will air from 7 to 9 p.m. weeknights on 1110 AM and 99.3 FM, inviting listeners to call in and sound offâon everything from local headlines to celebrity slip-ups. If youâve ever wanted to yell about Congress and Taylor Swift in the same segment, this might be your moment.
Itâs a notable step for Ritchie, who co-hosted âThe Ace & TJ Showâ with the late David âAceâ Cannon. After Cannonâs unexpected departure in September 2024 and tragic passing in February, Ritchie continued the show alongside Bryan âRigginsâ Weber before eventually striking out on his own.
Though the new show leans conservativeâRitchie brands himself âAmericaâs Coolest Conservativeââhe insists the format will welcome lively banter. Expect guests, hot takes, and plenty of Charlotte flair.
And in classic TJ style, heâs still holding down his âday jobââbecause one radio empire apparently isnât enough.
