Golf for a reason that matters
Each fall, the Ballantyne Country Club Women’s Golf Association gathers close to 100 women golfers, members and their guests from across the region, for a weekend of friendly competition and fundraising. This year’s theme is “Pirates Invade Ballantyne,” and the cause behind it is a personal one.
Proceeds benefit the Paula Takacs Foundation for Sarcoma Research, a Charlotte-based nonprofit advancing innovative research and supporting patients and families in the fight against sarcoma, a rare cancer. The Foundation was chosen by the club’s golfers because a past member, Christine Wade, founded Hands for Holly in memory of her daughter, Holly, and later joined the Foundation as its Executive Director.
This year’s proceeds go to the Foundation’s Sarcoma Fund, which provides housing, transportation, utility, and food assistance for sarcoma patients and their families in financial crisis.

Sponsorship puts your business in front of the club’s avid women golfers through on-course signage, electronic leaderboards, social posts, and player goodie bags, while directing real support to sarcoma patients and their families. A minimum of 20% of every sponsorship is tax-deductible, and silent-auction item donations are 100% deductible.
