WBT Taps Ritchie for Prime-Time Conserva-Chatter

After nearly three decades of sharing the mic, TJ Ritchie is going full throttleāsolo.
The longtime Charlotte radio personality, best known as half of the former āAce & TJ Show,ā is returning to the airwaves with his own nightly program on WBT, debuting May 27. The show, simply titled āThe TJ Ritchie Show,ā promises what Ritchie calls āhigh energy, fun, and humorousā takes on the intersection of politics and pop culture.
āThis is something Iāve always wanted to do,ā Ritchie said in a press release. āAnd getting to do it on the legendary WBT is such a thrill.ā
The new show will air from 7 to 9 p.m. weeknights on 1110 AM and 99.3 FM, inviting listeners to call in and sound offāon everything from local headlines to celebrity slip-ups. If youāve ever wanted to yell about Congress and Taylor Swift in the same segment, this might be your moment.
Itās a notable step for Ritchie, who co-hosted āThe Ace & TJ Showā with the late David āAceā Cannon. After Cannonās unexpected departure in September 2024 and tragic passing in February, Ritchie continued the show alongside Bryan āRigginsā Weber before eventually striking out on his own.
Though the new show leans conservativeāRitchie brands himself āAmericaās Coolest Conservativeāāhe insists the format will welcome lively banter. Expect guests, hot takes, and plenty of Charlotte flair.
And in classic TJ style, heās still holding down his āday jobāābecause one radio empire apparently isnāt enough.
