Snowshoe Mountain
Ski resort on Cheat Mountain in Pocahontas County, West Virginia, owned by Alterra and on the Ikon Pass. Summit 4,848 feet; three areas: the Snowshoe Basin (37 trails, 7 lifts, 800 feet of vertical), Silver Creek (15 trails, 6 lifts, night skiing) and the Western Territory (4 trails, one lift, 1,500 feet of vertical, Cupp Run and Shay's Revenge). About 270 acres by the resort's own terrain breakdown, snowmaking on all of it. The resort posts a 2026-27 season of Nov. 25 to March 21, weather permitting.
