About Vive POP
Vive POP is a family-run event decor company serving Ballantyne and the greater Charlotte area, built on balloon design and, more recently, fabric draping. Founder Pita del Toro does birthdays, weddings, baby showers, grand openings, and anything else worth decorating for.
The distinction she draws is between decorating a space and transforming one. Adding balloons to a room is the first thing. Draping the room is what changes it. Since adding fabric work alongside the balloon decor, Vive POP takes on the whole space rather than a corner of it.

Meet Pita del Toro
It started in Texas, with her own daughter's birthday. She decorated it herself, her girls loved it, and it turned into a habit: birthdays, holidays, any excuse to celebrate. Friends and family started asking. She kept saying yes, mostly because their reaction was as good as her own kids'.
The move to Charlotte is where the hobby turned into a business. Friends here began asking her to decorate their events too, and that, she says, is when it clicked. This was not just something she loved doing for her family. It could be something she built for her family.
The job she names as the turning point was her first big installation with marquee letters, for Socrates Academy's inauguration of its new high school building. The space was filled with balloons top to bottom, in front of the whole school community. That was when it stopped being a hobby.
Her Advice to Hosts
Do not wait until the week of the event. The best designs come out of having enough time to talk through colors, themes, and the small details that make a space feel like the person it is for. Book early. And leave a little room for your decorator to bring in something you had not thought of.
