This month's Coffee with a Cop at Ballantyne Summit Coffee, set for Friday, August 14, was called off that morning; organizers say the monthly gathering picks back up in September.
The meetup brings Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers and Ballantyne neighbors together over a cup of coffee. No agenda and no speeches, just a chance to ask questions, raise concerns, and get to know the officers who serve the area. Stroll joins the gathering each month, and everyone is welcome.
Update, September 11: The September 11 gathering went ahead as scheduled. Organizers have since added a second September meetup, Friday, September 25, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Ballantyne Summit Coffee, 13743 Conlan Circle, Suite 101, with the Tacos Las Catrinas food truck on site. The regular second Friday gathering follows on Friday, October 9.
