The June issue of Stroll Ballantyne Country Club landed in mailboxes this week, and if it hasn't reached your front step yet, you don't have to wait — the whole edition is online and free to read.
This is the issue that closes out the school year. The publishers framed June around milestones and new beginnings, and you feel it from the cover on: the Thevaos family on the steps at Waverly, all of them happiest near the water, with two girls who'd rather be on a boat than anywhere else. If you've already met the family in our profile of the Thevaos clan, the print version gives you the photographs the screen can't — the kind of family portrait that makes you slow down a page.
A few of the stories I'd point you to first.
The partner spotlights this month are unusually good. The Seasonal Porch Stylist is Christine, who builds year-round curb appeal one entryway at a time and finalizes her fall and holiday designs months early — if you've been meaning to do something about your porch, she's worth the call now, not in September. Lindsay Cadenhead Jewelry makes permanent and custom clasped pieces, and Lindsay tests every material herself for durability before it goes near a client. Katy Bradfield at Corcoran HM Properties is a Charlotte native who's built a referral-driven real estate business rooted right here in the Ballantyne Country Club community. And Align Maven handles the wallcovering jobs most of us shouldn't attempt ourselves — Omar's advice on peel-and-stick alone is worth the read.
There's more in the print edition than we run as individual stories online. Pineville Rug Gallery on Main Street gets a deserved spotlight — Reza Elyasi has spent decades building relationships with more than 100 interior designers in the area, and the gallery is expanding into a new chapter. Precious Pet this month is Jenny. The Travel Insider column takes on the new golden age of yachting, and Making a Difference profiles the Echo Foundation and the work it's doing across Charlotte.
And as always, the issue runs on our neighborhood partners. The businesses in the directory and the resident business guide are the reason this magazine reaches your door — when you're looking for a contractor, a realtor, a spa, or a place to send the dog for the weekend, start there and thank them when you get the chance.

Happy summer, neighbors. Enjoy the longer evenings — and the few weeks before the next school year sneaks up on all of us.
